Below the Boardwalk

On the morning of August 22, 2025, dawn broke beneath the St. Johns County Ocean Pier. From a low vantage, the sun rose between the weathered pilings, its light refracting through waves that surged against the shore. The interplay of shadow and radiance transformed a familiar view into something both intimate and grand — a study of light, form, and the ceaseless dialogue between ocean and structure.
